Glasmannen (The Glass Man) is about a wandering, seemingly immortal wizard with semi-transparent skin. He's been travelling the world under many names since ancient times, founding nations in his ambition to create the beautiful and everlasting, but everything he does inevitably leads to disaster. Shagul from the song Death's End was an apprentice of the Glass Man.

In 2014, as the album Nidingsverk had been released, singer and guitarist Christian Älvestam teamed up with fantasy writer Erik Granström for the death metal album Mörkrets Tid. I never cared about symphonic metal at all. I do very much care about folk as well as progressive metal, and so I couldn't resist after reading the third exceptional AMG review for Wilderun in a row. 'Sleep...' has been on my radar for quite some time, being graced by one of the most beckoning cover arts I have ever seen. The band more than lives up to its reputation, composing great musical pieces from start to finish. I absolutely love the multitude of influences being put together here.
